Errors in Translation

Translation errors appear due to any or all of the following reasons:

• linguistic incompetence - the translator failed to understand a word or phrase of the source text or to correctly write in the target language;
• cultural/pragmatic incompetence - associated with the lack knowledge (cultural, scientific, etc.).
