DIDACTICA MATHEMATICAE (former DYDAKTYKA MATEMATYKI) is an international journal for research into the teaching and learning of mathematics. It was founded in 1980 by Anna Sophia Krygowska, who was its Editor-in-chief until 1988.

Annals of the Polish Mathematical Society were brought into being by joining two journals founded by Samuel Dickstein: Prace Matematyczno-Fizyczne, 48 volumes of which were published in 1888-1951, and Wiadomości Matematyczne, 44 volumes of which were published in 1897-1939.

Later, Series 1 was renamed as "Commentationes Mathematicae". At present Annales are published in six series:
Series 1: COMMENTATIONES MATHEMATICAE  ISSN 0373-8299 (since 1955)
Series 2: WIADOMOŚCI MATEMATYCZNE ISSN 0373-8302 (since 1955)
Series 3: MATEMATYKA STOSOWANA ISSN 1730-2668 (since 1973)
Seria 4: FUNDAMENTA INFORMATICAE ISSN 0169-2968 (since 1977)
Seria 5: DIDACTICA MATHEMATICAE ISSN 0208-8916 (since 1981)
Seria 6: ANTIQUITATES MATHEMATICAE ISSN 1898-5203 (since 2007)
