Geographical Data bases in the internet on the Example of FAOSTAT
Three types of sources of information on the Internet were individuated as a matter of trustworthy. First group there are mainly WWW pages based on government and academic staff services. Second one are based on non-government organisations and run by hotheads. Third one are mainly WWW pages published by unknown, often very young people.
FAOSTAT database of United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are presented. Main problems met by Polish users were reported and solutions were explained.
